Slacker

Yep. I've been a MAJOR blog slacker this month! My goal for March is to get into some kind of blogging schedule so it's more of a routine for me. I find that there are days when I am really motivated to blog and will sit down and do too many posts for one day and then before I know it, a week's gone by and I haven't posted anything!! I think I need to learn how to use that "schedule" button down there!!!

Anyway, here's a long overdue project I've been meaning to share with you all for several weeks now. I was very excited to be the featured Hybrid Artist for the DST Insider (the digital magazine for DigiShopTalk) this month and this is the project I created for my tutorial. If you're a member of DST, you can download your copy of the Insider and read the tutorial on how to create this fun home decor project!! It was super easy and I just LOVE how it tured out!!
My amazing MIL hand-cut & sanded the letters out of scrap pine and I gave them a quick once-over with white acrylic paint. I printed some digi papers from Love Shack by Libby Weifenbach (Sweet Shoppe Designs), cut them out and glued to the front of each letter with Mod Podge. I added some digital and physical embellishments and sponged some paint around the edges of the letters for a shabby look. Isn't it cute!?!?
I had intended for this project to be Valentine's decor, but the colors in this kit are so great and it turned out so rad that I think I'll keep it out awhile longer...what do you think?

So Fabulous, I hope you have also entered it over at Scrapbook Trends in the Handmade idea book. I think that publication and Cards are both looking for home decor'

Jen

What kind of paper do you use to print your digi papers. I just downloaded my first set and don't want to mess it up.

thanks

Beautiful Jen! Love the digi papers and I agree, these colours work for all seasons! They'll be fun at Christmas too!
