Sweet Sunday Sketch #142

Happy Sunday! You know what that means - Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge time!! Karen Linkhas a fun one for us this week:

I changed things up a bit, making it a 4.25x5.5 vertical card instead of a square. I don't know why. I'd like to think it's because they're easier to mail, but who am I kidding? I only actually mail about 3 cards per year and the rest go into a gigantic box until 2 years later when I get tired of looking at them and then either donate them or trash the crappy ones, LOL. Tell me I'm not the only one!!

I've been gearing up to work on my December Daily Album (I'm DETERMINED to do one for the first time this year) and so I needed a break from all that Christmasy nonsense and decided to make a Thanksgiving card. I pulled out some neglected Campfire DP (October Afternoon) from my stash and finally broke in a couple of PTI stamp sets (Autumn Acorns and Gobble Gobble) and coordinating dies. I'm kinda loving those felt acorns!

Be sure to stop by all the Sweet Sunday Stampers' blogs and see what they've done with this week's sketch.
Then play along with us and post your own creation using InLinkz over on today's post on Karen's Blog!

Fanastic fall card, Jen! LOL I do the SAME thing....mail a few here and there and the rest I end up donating, trying to salvage something off of before trashing or letting Chloe use them for her friends...haha!

Oh my!! This is gorgeous! I don't think all of those pretty leaves would have fit on a square, so good choice! I do the same thing and I'm trying to get better about recycling the cards I know I don't like right off the bat - you know, put the buttons right on back in the package, LOL! I just donated a bunch to the kids' school for a fund raiser, so hang on to them, you'll use them for something with Dean ;)

I LOVE the felt on the acorns...it's so warm!!! And I think we should have a stamp that says "I'm a card maker, not a card mailer.".

This card is gorgeous Jen! I love the rectangle version much better than the square version myself. I might have to play along for once!
