I've been trying for weeks to play along with one of Mercy's Sketch challenges and I finally had a chance this weekend with her Tuesday Sketch #37 - and it was a fun one!!
I have a few things to get posted in the next 24 hours, so I'm going to keep this short and sweet and just get right to the point. Here's the card I came up with:I tried to get all fancy and painted the edges of that Kraft panel, then glitter all around the edge. I was only reminded of why I don't normally work with glitter and don't like to "get all fancy". Some of you out there do both of these things so well and I envy you - all I seem to do is make a big mess and end up with a card that (to me at least) looks like my 2-yr-old was allowed to put the finishing touches on!! LOL. {sigh}. Oh well. Actually, besides the glitter, I'm pretty pleased with how this turned out. Those poinsettias from Verve's Poinsettia Christmas were PERFECT for this sketch and I just love how they look embossed in white on Kraft paper (but really, doesn't EVERYTHING look better on Kraft!?!?).
Supplies:
Stamps: Poinsettia Christmas (Verve)
Paper: Kraft CS (SU); Textured White CS (American Crafts); DP by Scenic Route
Ink: Versamark; white acrylic paint
Accessories: Detail White EP (Stampendous); Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders); Glitter (Martha Stewart); 3-D Adhesive
